Real Estate Attorney
A well-established Regional Law Firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to assist in residential and commercial closings. Responsibilities include:
Real Estate Attorney responsibilities
- Consider all legal aspects of clients’ circumstances and desired outcome to provide sound legal advice to them
- Conduct detailed due diligence, and inspect title examination, closing binder, and legal documents for legal risk, completion, and accuracy
- Draft and review contracts, probate and trust documents, leases, financing statements, purchase and property management agreements, as well as title abstracts, summaries, and commitments, as required
- Negotiate real estate transaction terms and conditions, and facilitate the transfer of title between borrowers, real estate agents, and title company
- Represent client at real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and real estate litigation
- Interface with city boards and agencies to avoid zoning legal issues and obtain permits
- Manage paralegals, clerks, and other assistants
Real Estate Attorney qualifications
- Completion of accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree is required
- Hold a current law license in the state and be a member of your local bar association
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney, as a transactional attorney, or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm
